The effects of climate change have a disproportionate impact on poorer communities. Here are some things you can do to have a wider impact.
- Commemorate a special occasion by planting a tree (National Forest, Treedom, Trees for Life)
- Write to your supermarket, local councillor or MP about a green issue that concerns you
- Join a local group like Essex Wildlife Trust
- Find out how your savings are invested and consider ethical alternatives. You might be interested in the Make My Money Matter campaign.
- Tell a friend what you are doing and why. Share on our facebook page.
- Donate to an environmental charity
- Take part in Earth Hour Saturday March 27 2021, 8.30-9.30pm
- Support a microfinance initiative eg lendwithcare
- Find out about the Fairtrade movement and how it affects people’s lives. Buy a Fairtrade product.
- Sign a petition about an environmental issue. (The Time is Now, or visit the Christian Aid website)
- Learn about how climate change affects other communities.
