\nLove and marriage are gifts from God, through which we might glimpse the depth of His love for us.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0A wedding in church is a public commitment not only in front of your family and friends, but in God\u2019s presence, and asking God\u2019s blessing on your marriage.<\/p>\n

Can I have my wedding at St Peter\u2019s South Weald?<\/strong>
\nChurch weddings are governed by strict legal regulations: if you want to be married at St Peter\u2019s, one of you must live in the parish, or have a particular qualifying connection with St Peter\u2019s.\u00a0 You can find out whether you live within the parish by putting your postcode into the search box at https:\/\/www.achurchnearyou.com\/<\/a> and you can find full details of acceptable qualifying connections on the Church of England weddings website<\/a>.\u00a0 If you are still not sure, then do please get in touch.<\/p>\n

How much does a wedding cost?<\/strong>
\nFor full details of optional and obligatory fees, see our Table of Fees<\/a>, which details all fees for the current year \u2013 but bear in mind that they will rise slightly if you will be married in another calendar year.<\/p>\n

How far in advance do we need book the wedding?<\/strong>
\nThat depends on the time of year you wish to marry, and the day of the week.\u00a0 Saturdays are most popular and most likely to get booked up, and we would discourage you from marrying on a Sunday.\u00a0 No more than a year in advance of your chosen date should be plenty, but again, when in doubt, ask!<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Most importantly, be aware that we do not conduct weddings during Lent \u2013 from Ash Wednesday until after Easter.\u00a0 The dates for this period vary from year to year, so do please ask if you are not sure.<\/p>\n
