\"choir<\/a>The choir\u2019s job is to lead and enhance the worship of the whole congregation of the church during services. We do this by leading the singing of the hymns and other sung parts of the service, and also by singing an anthem each week.<\/span><\/p>\n

The choir sings at the main Family Communion service at 9.30am on Sundays. We also sing for a few extra services a year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The choir has about 20 singers, spanning an age range from 7 to 77! The children are a vitally important part of the choir. They take full part in the Sunday morning service and receive musical training towards the Voice for Life award scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n

We practise once a week on Friday evenings: the children practise from 6.15pm to 8pm, and the adults practise from 7.30pm to 9pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is also an augmented choir – on certain big occasions, such as Christmas and Easter, augmented choir members join with the rest of the choir to sing the anthem at the 9.30am service. In addition, there are occasional special evening services, such as the Nine Lessons and Carols at Christmas, which involved the augmented choir. We rehearse the previous Friday (sometimes the previous two Fridays). Please click below for dates.<\/p>\n
