If anyone is a member of the congregation or lives in the parish (click here for our boundaries), then the parish church is available for a funeral. Whether or not a churchgoer, or whatever the beliefs of the one who has died, we are pleased to offer the support of the church.

Our church is available for funeral services, which can be more spacious and personal than at a crematorium. We also find that it makes it easier for friends and neighbours to attend. However, a vicar would be equally happy to take the whole funeral service at a crematorium or cemetery chapel.

After the service, we can also offer a listening ear, not only in the early days, but in future months as those who grieve come to terms with their loss. We believe that everyone is uniquely special in God’s eyes, and we hope that is reflected in the service we offer.

Do feel welcome to discuss any questions with the Priest in Charge, Revd. Jane Bradbury, (01277 212054). If arranging a funeral, Funeral Directors are also very happy to liaise with the church.
