We now have two weekly Communion services in the church, at 9.45am on Sundays and 7pm on Wednesdays.  We are doing all we can to make your visit to church as safe as possible, which means that the services will be somewhat different from what you are used to.

  • Numbers will be limited, to allow us to comply with social distancing guidelines. You will need to book a ticket ahead of time via Eventbrite:

Sunday mornings at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sunday-family-eucharist-tickets-114639586088

Wednesday evenings at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/wednesday-evening-service-7pm-tickets-152842378669

Tickets are for individuals but a household group of up to 4 will only require 2 tickets.  Please give others a chance and don’t book if you already have tickets for the previous week. And please cancel your tickets if you find you can’t use them, so others can book.

Please do not turn up without pre-booking as we may need to turn you away if the church is full.

If you are unable to use the links, please contact Ruth (01277 210812) or Jane (01277 212054).

  • You will be asked to leave names and contact details for track and trace purposes. Please contact us as soon as possible if you experience Covid symptoms after attending a service.

  • We will have a one-way system, entering through the main church door and leaving through the disabled door. You may be asked to queue at busy times.   Inside the church you will be directed to a marked seat; at the end of the service people will be asked to leave pew by pew.    Please keep to your assigned seat during the service, except when directed, and stay 2m from others at all times.

  • You will be invited to use hand sanitiser on entering and leaving the building. Toilets will be available if necessary but please keep your use of them to a minimum, to reduce the opportunities for infection.

  • The service will be shorter and simpler, with no congregational singing. Communion will be distributed only in one kind (bread but not wine), with strict hygiene measures in place.   We are sorry that there will be no children’s activities and no refreshments.

  • Collections will no longer be taken in the pews. We now have a secure card reader to enable you to donate contactlessly, or you are welcome to leave offerings in cash at the end of the service.

  • We are asking everyone to wear face coverings while in church, in line with current Church of England guidelines.  Please remember that face coverings are mainly intended to protect other people, not the wearer, and that they are not a replacement for physical distancing and regular hand washing.  Instructions will be given during the service about receiving communion.  (This request does not apply to young children, or those with disabilities or medical exemptions.)

Thank you for understanding these safety measures, which are there to protect the most vulnerable in our community.
